Douglas (Doug) G. Bach – County Administrator for the Unified Government of Wyandotte County/Kansas City, KS
Mr. Bach is a graduate of Fort Hays State University and holds a Masters of Public Administration from Kansas State University. He has worked for the Unified Government of Wyandotte County/Kansas City, KS since it organized as a consolidated government in 1997. Prior to this he worked for the former City of Kansas City, Kansas for seven years.
Doug was a member of the pre-consolidation task force who developed the merger plan for City and County operations. In 1999, he was assigned as the Special Projects Manager to oversee negotiations and future development for Village West (which is the tourism & entertainment district around the Kansas Speedway). In 2002, Doug was appointed as an Assistant County Administrator for the Unified Government. He was hired into his current position as the Deputy Administrator in February of 2003 where he oversees the day-to-day operations of the Unified Government and continues to actively work on new development opportunities for the community.
In March, 2014 Doug was selected as County Administrator of the Unified Government of Wyandotte County/Kansas City, Kansas.
